Governance
The Guild is currently led by a founding team of serving imams and supporting professionals. Names and short biographies will be published here once the founding team has approved them.
| Role | Name |
|---|---|
| Chair | To be confirmed |
| Secretary | To be confirmed |
| Treasurer | To be confirmed |
| Membership lead | To be confirmed |
| Employment support lead | To be confirmed |
During the founding period, decisions are made by the founding team. Once the constitution is adopted, voting members will elect the Guild's leadership at a general meeting. Voting rights depend on membership category, as set out on the membership page.
The draft constitution will be published once it has been approved. Our published policies are listed below.
The Guild is funded by membership subscriptions and, in future, grants and donations that do not compromise its independence. Annual accounts will be published here. Membership fees are set out transparently on the membership page.
The Guild does not accept funding that would give any organisation influence over its positions on imams' employment or professional standards.
